Toyota Sahara/VX Integrated Navigation System with Hema 4WD Nav

Part Number: NAV-TY-S7H

Many vehicles are now coming standard with factory navigation, but unfortunately some key features that drivers are used to are not supported. For example, safety cameras, speed alerts, GPS speed and much more. Navigation updates can also be very expensive. So rather than investing in updates, it can be more beneficial long term to add a more up to date and better featured after market navigation system instead.

The Sahara & VX LC200 Landcruiser have a beautiful high resolution 9 inch display and our Advanced ICE Integrated Navigation system adds full iGO primo NextGen Navigation and Hema 4WD Nav with their complete collection of digital maps into the factory screen. A simple long press the "Nav Button" will allow complete control of the iGO Street mapping and Hema Maps directly through the existing touch screen in the vehicle.

Also, if you tow a caravan, why not use the existing large screen as a rear view mirror by connecting a Caravan Camera through the systems additional video input. If you are also wanting to add the Premium Caravan Camera functionality, some of the parts are already included in the navigation system so one of the below upgrade kits is required:-

Q: How is the system activated?
A: Switching to the iGo Primo Nextgen navigation is simple, just long press the "NAV" button on the factory system.

Q: How do I perform Street Navigation and Hema Map updates?
A: Map updates are easily performed with a Windows PC. The navigation computer will be mounted in an easy to access location. Instructions for updating both systems can be found under the downloads tab.

Q: Is it possible to update to the Premium Navigation System at a later date?
A: It is not possible to "upgrade" the Standard Navigation map card that comes with this system to the Premium Navigation features. The only option to do this in the future is to purchase a new map card which will be more expensive than the current price difference between the two systems.

Q: What warranty does this system come with?
A: The hardware of your system comes with a 2 year warranty except for the SD card, which has a 12 month warranty.

Q: Does it interfere with any factory features?
A: No, all other functionality will remain the same.

Q: Do the navigation commands come through the factory speakers?
A: Due to the complexity of the audio system in this vehicle this is currently not possible. Voice commands and alerts will be made via a separate speaker and they will not automatically mute when on a phone call.

Q: Will navigation directions display in the information screen in the vehicles cluster?
A: The factory navigation system is still operational so this will continue to display as normal. Navigation directions from this product will not display in the information screen in the cluster.

Q: Is this a simple software upgrade of the unit or is it a whole new Radio system?
A: This system is not a software upgrade or replacement Navigation card, it comprises of two new hardware items, a Multimedia Interface and a Navigation Computer. These parts allow us to integrate to the factory installed system so we are not removing or replacing your factory installed system.

Q: What Point of Interest information is available?
A: The navigation system comes with over 750,000 points of interest built in, which includes petrol stations, restaurants, accommodation, parks and many more.

Q: Does this system have Live Traffic Information?
A: No. This system does not have any Live Traffic information.

Q: What sort of voice guidance does the system have?
A: There are 3 options for voice guidance. A “TTS” (Text-To-Speech) voice will give you the most information and will announce street names, etc. A non-TTS voice will announce directions, but will not announce things like street names. Lastly, you can set the system to have no voice guidance by muting the voice. This is done by pressing the “Menu” button and then selecting the small “Speaker” icon that appears along the bottom.

Q: Do I need my mobile phone to be navigated?
A: No. This system is completely independent of any phone and it relies solely on GPS signal for navigation. It is a 100% offline navigation solution.

Q: Why is my GPS time wrong?
A: This is likely just a setting in your navigation. In the “Settings” menu, select “Regional”. Here you will be able to adjust whether the navigation system bases the time on your location or whether you want to set it manually (eg. GMT +10 for AEST). If your time is 1 hour out, there is also the setting for Daylight Saving Time which can be found here and adjusted if necessary.

Q: How can I change the voice?
A: Go to “Menu”, page across to “Settings”. Select “Regional” and then go in to “Voice Language” and change to your preferred option.

Q: Why are the speed limits or streets wrong (even though they have been the same for many years)?
A: It is a very difficult process to map with 100% accuracy and the map provider does make use of end user information. Sometimes things change (eg. changed speed limit), sometimes the data is incorrect. Please ensure that you have updated your navigation to ensure you have the latest available map content.

Q: What type of system is the Hema 4WD Nav operating on?
A: The Hema 4WD Nav is an OziExplorer based system with the Hema Maps User interface which is designed to make it easy to operate the OziExplorer.

Q: Can I add my own maps to the Hema 4WD Nav?
A: Yes. You can remove the navigation SD card from the navigation computer (which should be mounted on the computer) and insert it into your windows computer and copy the map files to the "OziExplorer Maps" folder. Detailed instructions can be found in the downloadable user instruction manual under the Downloads Tab.

Q: Can I transfer the map information to a bigger capacity SD Card?
A: The navigation is licensed to the 16GB SD card that is included with the product and it cannot be transferred to another card. If you require a larger capacity card this should be arrange at the time of purchase.
